A Glorious Day in the Garden

Today is a glorious day!  The morning is cool yet a bit muggy but not in an uncomfortable sort of way.  Rather it is muggy in a take a deep breath and feel better sort of way.  Glorious because this is the day that the Lord has made.

To quote Anne with an "e", it is a day without any mistakes in it yet.  No doubt mistakes will come because that is surely to happen in this life but one can celebrate the glory of the day regardless.

The garden is rich in life and beauty.  One can not help but feel gratitude in a cottage garden.  The birds agree with me in song.  The resident woodpecker with his knock knock knock keeps in time with their melody.  I close my eyes and listen.

A Precious Gift

What a precious gift, roses are.  I don't know the specific name (species) of each rose bush.  I have decided to name them after my granddaughters.  Gentle and lovely with soft pinks and vibrants touches of red.

Beauty in flowers so delicate and growing strong with their faces toward the sun.

So Now We Begin

Writing has always been a solace to me.  Why I have left it until now is a mystery.  Words are treasures and speaking them aloud does not have the same value for me.  When you write them or you read them, you have time to really see them, think on them, and truly understand their meaning.

Chicken Soup for the Soul...  I never liked that phrase.  But, I think now, it's growing on me.  Maybe because chicken soup has been a mainstay since I've been sick or maybe I'm seeing the reality of its healing properties.  Soup. Words.  Prayer.

So now we begin.  I've much to catch up on and many to visit.  It has been too long.
